I met my high school sweetheart at a church youth group, and we've been happily married for 19 years. Jeanna and I share our home in Peterborough, Ontario, with three kids and a puppy. I value my family as much as my faith, and I love loving and supporting fellow educators and students.

My wife and I are also proud Makers. We love everything DIY, and my wife started her furniture business in 2014. We build modern farmhouse furniture for clients and local shops all over Ontario. 
 
Other interests are throwing a frisbee or watching the Leafs and the Raptors with my three brothers.

I'm passionate about coffee and worked at Starbucks before Teachers College, where I found my first Starbucks card. A decade later, I have collected over 700 cards worldwide. I also have 65+ Starbucks mugs; many were given as gifts from family and friends, students who vacationed at Christmas and Spring Break.
